While sailing to reach our dive site we met a dead dolphin. We are 4.5 miles off the coast of Castiglioncello, in the Province of Livorno, in the area considered the "Sanctuary of the Cetaceans" because during the summer many marine mammals come here to reproduce.
In this short video we show you an Octopus coming out of its hole to devote it self to finding food among the rocks. In fact, the octopus feeds on crustaceans, worm, shells that it captures with the tentacles and breaks with the mouth formed by a horny beak that is found at the bottom.
The lost nets in Mediterranean Sea continue to fish for a long time and the animals remain trapped. These nets long some kilometers envelop entire stretches of rock with damage that is not difficult to imagine. The video shows a fishing net that has been on the bottom for many years.
