It usually lives in the caves located at the base of the cliffs where it organizes its own den where it is quiet during the day and where it goes out at night for its raids in search of food. We meet him at depths of between thirty and one hundred meters but we know that during the summer there is the possibility of meeting him even at a depth of ten meters. As we have said, he prefers the rocky bottoms where there are deep cracks and inaccessible burrows where he can be alone. In fact, he does not like company and if someone approaches immediately, he becomes aggressive, brandishing his powerful claws in a threatening way.
In the video we made you can see the lobster that, as soon as it hears the sound of the diver approaching, looks out of his own lair curiously trying to understand what happens, but as soon as he feels disturbed he immediately shows his aggression; but then it disappears safely into the depths of its own den. Like the Lobster, it is a crustacean very appreciated in the kitchen and therefore present in many traditional Mediterranean recipes. For this reason it is the object of an intense fishing that takes place all year through the nets or spiny lobsters Gill nets. L’Astice intotheblue.it
