European Bass - Dicentrarchus labrax

Dicentrarchus labrax spigola branzino

Dicentrarchus labrax, spigola, branzino,

Dicentrarchus labrax, commonly known as European bass or Sea bass is a marine and brackish water fish of the Moronidae family. Very common in the Mediterranean is a predatory fish that hunts mainly at night, very curious often approaching divers and swimmers. The two videos were made after a sea storm ideal for sea bass to hunt and feed. As seen from the murky water, the sea bass approaches easily enough to satisfy his curiosity. It is often found together with other fish of different species more or less the same size, perhaps to increase the chances of feeding.
