Hydroides Dianthus

In the video we see how two specimens of  Hydroides Dianthus in this case Serpulide Dianthus, in this case Serpulide Dianthus, share the same tube; we almost always filmed individuals in colonies but always singles in their own tube. This video was shot in Sardinia in the stretch of coast that goes from Capo Pecora to Masua.

Serpulide dianthus is a Worm that belongs to the philum of the Anellids, and to the class of the Sedentary Polychaetes and to the order of the Sabellids and to the genus of the Serpulids. The term Vermi is generic and used in our analysis as a convenient catalog to indicate a great variety of organisms that are similar with an elongated and flexible body.

To the genus of the serpulid hydroides belong single individuals always united in colonies that form tangles of calcareous tubules with a circular or triangular section, fixed on hard substrates of any nature.  The serpulide hydroides dianthus lives in circular section tubes.
